I am an artist and qualified educator based in South East Norfolk, working across Great Yarmouth, Norwich, Lowestoft, and the wider Norfolk/Suffolk region. My work explores themes of resilience, transformation, and the fleeting beauty found in everyday moments — ideas that also shape the way I teach and support adult learners.
With a teaching qualification for Further and Higher Education, I specialise in helping adults rediscover their creativity through clear, structured guidance and a warm, confidence‑building approach. I teach a wide range of 2D media, including acrylics, watercolour, oil painting, portrait drawing, mixed media, and both classical and contemporary drawing techniques. My classes are designed to be welcoming, encouraging, and accessible to learners of all abilities — from complete beginners to returning artists.
As an artist, I draw inspiration from human stories, natural forms, and the quiet emotional spaces that sit between observation and imagination. My practice blends traditional methods with playful, exploratory mark‑making, allowing each piece to evolve through layers of narrative and technique.
Whether I’m teaching in a community venue, preparing students for further study, or developing my own artwork for exhibitions, my aim is always the same: to create spaces where people feel supported, inspired, and able to express themselves with confidence.
After graduating from the University of Hertfordshire in 2004 with a BA (Hons) in Applied Media Arts (3D), Kimberley Bevan was awarded a five-year fellowship with Digswell Arts Trust. During this time, she began to exhibit in London and Europe while working with other artists on international exhibitions and local educational programs.
In 2009, she was awarded a board trustee position where she continued to work in support of local arts projects in collaboration with various authorities. A few years later, she would leave DAT to develop a new local art group – Elysian, the group of artists worked across several mixed media and fed into one another's theories and arts ideologies, her work would grow to be exhibited locally, nationally and internationally.
In 2021, she moved with her family to Norfolk, teaching for East Coast College, Anteros and recently Art pocket. Expanding her creative offering, she has set up her unique workshops at Silver Road, Norwich, which can be booked via this site. Her personal artworks enjoy exploring colour and layering of media, examining the wonder and beauty of the Norfolk cultures and environment. Her work is keen on the dramatisation of narrative, colour and texture, which pulls the viewer into an exciting and expressive world full of atmosphere.
